Beautiful model of Kazak carpet that can be estimated around 1960, in very good condition.
Originally from the Caucasus and in wool on wool, this rug has a kilim finish at its ends, followed by fringes.
Two important medallions close to the decoration of the Chelaberd rugs are present on a field composed of a velvet, old rose with wine lees.
The undertones are bold, and the carpet is bright and clean, the blue, green and cream paired perfectly with the main color.
The raw colors typical of the Kazaks are tastefully combined and give a happy look to this style of carpet.
The large size of this type of rug is not common in the Kazak style which has favored smaller rugs for hundreds of years.
