"Neogothic Monstrance (host) In Golden Brass, Enamelled, 19th Century"
Large Monstrance (container of sacred Host) from the Neogothic Period in brass and bronze (central multi-lobed dial) gilded and enamelled (blue). Lunelle missing, replaced by a round turned and painted wooden capsule (arma Christi) at the back, housing a guache, representing "Salvator Mundi" surrounded by trimmings. the gilding on of the foot is partially worn (rubbed). Good condition (small wear). French work for the Catholic Cult (Sacrément). The dial in the middle bears an inscription in Latin, embedded in the blue enamel: "Ecce Panis Angelorum" (the sacred bread ....) "Faetus Aibus? Viatorum" (?).
