Beautiful pair of painted Louis XVI style armchairs. Beautiful work of sculpture: ribbons around a thread, knots, asparagus tips, lictor bundles and interlocking bay leaves. Upholstered in Genoa velvet. Old-fashioned cross-strap seats. Very much in the style of late 18th century Lyonnais furniture. Around 1900. Seat height 48 cm, back 104 cm, width 66 cm, depth 65 cm.
