Osculatory - Kiss Of Peace In Ivory

Osculatory (or Kiss of Peace) convex ivory carved in bas-relief on a squared background, representing the Virgin and Child. This object of devotion, used in the Catholic liturgy and whose use is now lost, symbolized, through the kiss, the reconciliation of God with men, made possible by the sacrifice on The Cross of the Son made man.
