Portrait of a young woman, miniature on Ivory Early original minature (gouache on ivory) executed in 1836 by listed Italian miniature artist Giosue Bianchi (1803 - Monza -1875), father of genre painter Mose Bianchi and grandfather of Pompeo Mariani. In order of casa di Arconati came G. Bianchi to Milan for study at the Academy di Brera under Giuseppe Longhi. teacher at the Collegio dei Barnabiti and at Collegio Bosisio in Monza. He is reknown represantative of Lombardian school.
