Grande console d'église néo-gothique en chêne datant de la fin du XIX° flag

Object description :

"Grande console d'église néo-gothique en chêne datant de la fin du XIX°"

This church console, dating from the end of the 19th century, was intended to present a fairly large statue.

The cabinetmaker was able to combine functional solidity and elegance of the Gothic style by creating beautiful fenestration carved with a gouge in high quality oak wood.

The fixing lugs are original and the upper plate has a notch which was intended to receive the cartridge bearing the name of the saint.

This console can find its primary purpose by highlighting an old religious object but can also present a statue or a more contemporary sculpture.

Photos show the wood darker than in reality, the real color is natural light oak.

The height is 49 cm and the upper plate, intended to support the statue, measures 42 cm wide by 48 cm deep.
