Albert Dakin Gihon (1866 - 1950) is a painter of British origin, born in Portsmouth he studied with Thomas Eakins and William Merritt Chase, at the Pennsylvania Academy of fine arts, a prestigious school in England.

Not very satisfied with this education, he continued his studies in France at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris then at the Julian Academy with Jean-Paul Laurens and Benjamin Constant -
