Employee of the administration of Tunis, he left his job and the city in 1919, to come to study painting in the studio of PA Laurens, at the Académie Julian. He was accepted in 1922 in the teaching competition of the schools of the City of Paris. He had the opportunity of many trips to Italy, Norway, Holland, Belgium, Spain, Morocco. He exhibited with the painters of Poetic Reality, notably in a retrospective group exhibition in 1956. In 1933, he won the Vikings prize with crustaceans. He exhibited in Paris, at the Salons des Artistes Français, des Indépendants, d'Automne and the Tuileries. Museum: Paris (Museum of Modern Art)
