Lucien GOUBERT-1887-1964 Flamanville 1887 - Rauville-La-Bigot 1964 The church of Flamanville in the mist Oil on canvas Signed lower right 46 X 66 cm Professional photographer, Goubert settled down as a painter in 1920 and was l pupil of Deguerne. From 1929 to 1943, he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes français. He represented Lower Normandy with Emile Dorrée at the Universal Exhibition. François Enault said of him: “he painted in patois” because he succeeded, in fact, in capturing his corner of the earth in a sentimental way.
