Beautiful luminous work produced by the Toulon painter Paul Levéré which represents a view from the Nice harbor from Lazaret or Mont-Boron. The artist has been able to perfectly transcribe the light and colors of the Mediterranean and the South of France.
A student of Charles Allard, Paul Levéré painted landscapes of Provence and the Riviera. He occupies a neighboring studio of the painter François Nardi on the quai du Parti in Toulon. Paul Levéré is appointed as a member of the Fine Arts Commission of the City of Toulon then of the Theatrical Commission. He later became a professor at the School of Fine Arts in the city of Toulon.
He took part in local exhibitions from 1910 by presenting landscapes from the South of France.
In 1924, he was appointed painter of the Navy. He collaborates with the artistic magazine La Provence illustrated ".
