SHAKO PLATE FROM THE 127th LINE INFANTRY REGIMENT, model 1806, First Empire. Stamped and tinned brass plate, diamond-shaped (H 11.1 cm, width 10.2 cm without the curvature). It is stamped in its center with the imperial eagle with outstretched wings holding in its talons the sparkling spindle of Jupiter and surmounted by the imperial crown. Below the eagle is embossed the number "127". The plate is bordered by a molding with two protruding threads. France. First Empire. Very good state. HISTORY: The 127th of the line: Regiment created in 1811, with the guard of Hamburg and Lubeck, after annexation of these provinces. Completely destroyed in Russia during the retreat.
