Pierre Forget Master in 1755 - Small in-between commode in mahogany and mahogany veneer, French Louis XVI period.
In these times when its interior decoration is of great importance, life will be more beautiful with this lovely little commode from the Louis XVI period.
An interesting small mahogany and mahogany veneer commode called «Entre-Deux" or in between mounted on an oak frame, opening with three drawers framed with brass filets on the front and on the sides. Rounded front uprights decorated with grooves, resting on 4 spinning top legs finished with bronze clogs. Black Belgium marble top with lugs. Decoration of gilt-bronze and gilt-brass.
Elegant Parisian work of the Louis XVI period circa 1780 stamped by Pierre Forget received Master in 1755, his works show good classical quality execution. Reference: Pierre Kjellberg, 18th-century French furniture, page 318-320.
