Rare and surprising sweet note from the Napoleon III period. This small piece of furniture in blackened wood is very richly inlaid with mother-of-pearl. It is decorated on all its sides. Its lacquer and paint are decorated with flowers, butterflies and birds. The frame of the flap is decorated with flowering branches. When the flap is open, it gives way to a workspace just as richly inlaid with mother-of-pearl, and gilding decoration. The flap is covered with a pretty blue velvet. There is also a mail folder, two pencil boxes and two inkwells inside. The base is also decorated with paintings and inlaid with mother-of-pearl. This soft note has its key and its lock which works perfectly. This charming piece is in good condition, with its natural wear and tear. Dimensions: 115cm high, 58cm wide, and 50cm deep. The box measures 10cm thick. With the flap open, the total depth is 76cm.
