Adolfo de Ferrari (1898-1978).
He was born in Buenos Aires, (Argentina) in 1898. He studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts and at the “Ernesto de la Cárcova” School of Fine Arts. He made several study and training trips to Europe. From 1928 to 1931, he attended the workshops of the masters André Lhote, Otón Friesz and Felipe Carena in Paris. In 1939, he received a scholarship for the study of Italian primitives, awarded by the National Commission of Culture; He lives in Italy for several years. Under the auspices of the National Commission of Fine Arts, he tours extensively in the northern provinces of Argentina. He is professor at the higher schools of fine arts "Ernesto de la Cárcova" and "Prilidiano Pueyrredón" and professor of drawing at the higher school of fine arts of the University of La Plata. He was a member of the Technical Commission for the identification of works of the National Museum of Fine Arts.
