The painting is attributed to the painter Jean-Baptiste Lallemand (1716-1803). This painter born in Dijon in 1716, died in Paris in 1803, is an etching and painter of genre, history, seascapes and French landscapes. The canvas must date from 1747, during a trip to Rome made by the artist.
