Oriental woman (foot), graphite pencil drawing with watercolor heightening mounted under mat and painted wooden frame (black and silver), Jules Pierre Van Biesbroeck (1873-1965), signed in the lower left corner. Frame dimensions: H. 64.5 x L. 41.5 x D. 3.5 cm; drawing: H. 40 x L. 17 cm Some chips at the level of the frame and more at the level of the drawing. Jules Pierre Van Biesbroeck (Portici / Italy 1873 - Bruxelles1965) Realistic painter of figures, landscapes and oriental scenes; sculptor of monuments, tombs and decorative elements. Pupil of his father Jules V. sr. Studied at the Academy of Ghent until the age of fourteen. Y will become a teacher.
