Louis XVI period mirror in gilded wood framed around its periphery with a row of pearls and split leaves. The pediment is richly carved with doves, oak leaves and a quiver. At the four corners of the mirror, a rosette is surmounted by a bouquet of oak leaves. Louis XVI period Usual restorations H. 207 x L. 84 cm A mirror very similar to ours is reproduced on page 203 in the work by Graham Child, “The mirrors, 1650-1900” published by Flammarion.
