"Pair Of Nicely Chiseled Gilt Bronze Candlesticks Lamps, Decorated With Flowers And Fruits, Restoration Era, Early 19th Century"
Beautiful pair of chiseled and gilded bronze candlesticks from the Restoration period (early 19th century, circa 1820). Circular base decorated with water leaves and, on a mat background, embossed roses and daisies. Fluted barrel surmounted by a basket of fruits and flowers. Candle socket decorated with acanthus leaves. Top edged with water leaves. Remarkable quality of carving. Very beautiful original mercury gilding.
High quality production. In excellent condition.
LAMPSHADES: New. Made by Parisian art craftsman. Print of old etchings representing lake landscapes in medallions, on blue and beige striped background.
ELECTRIFICATION: New. The candlesticks have been modernized with electrical wire: E27 socket on false candle, gold twisted textile cable, manual switch and gold plug. Supplied with 2 Led screw bulbs.
Nota : The candlesticks can be restored to their original function without suffering damage ; the bronze has not been drilled.
