"Sugar Bowl Silver Cristal Circa 1840 France "
Oval shaped crystal covered sugar bowl, the frame and the cover are in silver. They are based on a pedestal supported by four feet with foliated scrolls decorated with a frieze of pearls and a frieze of foliage scrolls. The frame is provided with two side handles formed of foliage, it includes a cut crystal container with flat sides whose body is divided into two registers.
The lid is domed, with a multi-lobed surface, topped with a plug in the shape of a natural vegetable with its leaves. Mid-19th century, Louis Philippe Style
