"Louis XVI Period Clock"
Louis XVI period terminal clock, in finely chiseled bronze and gilded with mercury in two mat and shiny tones burnished with agate. The terminal is surmounted by a basin connected by garlands of falling flowers, resting on a terrace decorated with water leaves. Carrara marble base with projection supporting on either side of 2 fluted columns on which rest 2 doves and a firepot. White enamelled dial signed Hoguet Le Jeune, indicating the hours by Roman numerals and the minutes by Arabic numerals. Mechanism in perfect working order, completely dismantled and revised. Small spinning feet with azure rings. Original gilding cleaned and in excellent condition.
