"Cytere Stoneware Vase"
Vase, Art Nouveau sandstone from Rambervillers signed Alphonse Cytere. Alphonse Cytère, born in Tauves (Puy-de-Dôme) on August 12, 1861 and died in Rambervillers (Vosges) in 1941, is a French ceramic engineer linked to the School of Nancy. He developed a new technique for transforming an enamel with metallic reflections, which made the “flamed sandstone of Rambervillers” famous. Neck diameter: 7.5cm
