Antique Menpo from the beginning of the Edo era (17th century) The exterior is black lacquered and embellished with a mustache and a red lacquered beard on the inside.
Yodarekake (throat protector), formed of 4 blades, assembled by silk ties.
The Menpo is in fairly good condition for its age, however like any old object, it has some flaws: several chips of lacquer inside, beautiful patina.
