The thing is plausible, although I have not seen a similar exemplar in Russian museums.
The iron point is extremely massive, it is forged, and has a single cutting edge. It has a ring, probably intended to receive a rope tie.
The point is attached to the shank by two strong forged nails. Length of the blade 49 cm
The shank is made of thick, relatively light wood, probably a conifer. The whole has a nice patina.
This unusual piece deserves to find a place in a hunting-themed collection or in a gentleman's cabinet of curiosities.
