Moigniez Jules: Weimaraner Stopping A Susse Fondeur Pheasant flag

Object description :

"Moigniez Jules: Weimaraner Stopping A Susse Fondeur Pheasant"
Moigniez Jules 1835-1894 pupil of Paul Coloméra. Annimal sculptor, he produced this work in 1859. It will be acquired by the state for the castle of Compiègne. Our bronze is signed on the terrace and bears the seal of the founder Susse in the molding. This attests to a 19th century edition. The very beautiful bronze patina as well as the quality carving highlight the attitude of the different animals: The dog at rest, the frightened pheasant. The sculpture of the terrace is very detailed and reveals many details: snail, oak leaves, branches ... The bronze is presented on a wooden base.
