Silver Metal Cutting Service, Mother Of Pearl Handles, XIXth flag

Object description :

"Silver Metal Cutting Service, Mother Of Pearl Handles, XIXth"
It is these sumptuous, very heavy and very thick mother-of-pearl handles that make this silver metal service from the period and Napoleon III style so special. In the same case, a very beautiful pie server, in solid silver decorated with engraved flowers, hallmarked by Ernest Tournieux in Paris, also fitted with mother-of-pearl. The ferrules of the four pieces are identical, Louis XV style. The knife has a steel blade, on one side of its handle a large chip of mother-of-pearl has been visibly restored, this is the only flaw of this beautiful set.
