Portrait of Beethoven (?), Bronze with brown patina - gilded, copper plinth, Sava Botzaris (1894-1965), 1929, signed and dated, numbered 5, foundry stamp of Brussels (lost wax technique). Dimensions of the base: H. 1 x L. 10 x D. 5 cm; total: H. 15 x L. 14 x D. 6 cm. Sava Botzaris, born in Belgrade, Serbia. Son of a painter at the court of Peter I. He was trained by his father, then in Naples and Rome. Botzaris moved to London around 1920 and worked there until 1941, when he immigrated to Venezuela.
