Object description :

"Cutlery Ondulation Christofle Fjerdingstad"
Rare Art Deco "Ondulation" or "Striée" cutlery designed by Danish silversmith Christian Fjerdingstad in 1936. Edited by the house "Christofle", this model is a prototype and has never been produced in large copies. This explains the rarity of this model with its very clean lines representative of the Art Deco style. We find a similarity in the design of the cutlery with the "Laos" and "Gabon" models also designed by Ch. Fjerdingstad in the same years. The cutlery is in silver metal in excellent condition. Some micro-scratches of normal use. The cutlery is for 12 place settings and nothing is missing. The 130 pieces are stored in a solid oak box with 4 drawers lined with green antioxidant fabric in very good original condition and can be closed with a key.

The 130-piece cutlery set consists of:

12 table knives
12 table forks
12 table spoons

12 dessert knives
12 dessert forks
12 dessert spoons

12 fish knives
12 fish forks

12 oyster or dessert forks
12 teaspoons

10 serving pieces:
1 ladle soup
1 meat fork 2 teeth
1 meat knife
2 stewing spoons
1 serving fork 3 teeth
1 pie server
1 sauce spoon
2 fish serving pieces

Total 130 pieces.
