Beautiful and large work, with strong contrast, by the painter Louis Bonamici who represents the port of La Ponche animated by fishermen in their tartanes in the Tour-Vieille district of Saint-Tropez.

A fan of knife painting, Louis Bonamici endeavors to render the warm colors of Provence through scenes of ports and everyday life.
His works are produced in a harmony of bright colors, his painting serif giving relief to his works, forcing visitors to step back to contemplate them.
He was appointed official painter of the Navy in 1921.

Size : 60 x 80 cm without frame and 85 x 104 cm with its original Louis XV style wooden frame.
