Made in three parts, this large hand-colored engraving represents the arrival of the young Louis XV in Versailles. Counterpart with "Fontainebleau" we can locate it around 1725-1730. Inscription in the engraving: In Paris at Vanheck. Rue St Jacques in St François de Sales CPR. This extremely rare piece is mounted on a large plywood surrounded by a strip. Some stains and folds visible on the photos. Pen inscription at the bottom of the engraving. "Ode to the King and to Versailles"
