"18th Century Fine Gold Repoussé Case With Chatelaine. "
A gold repoussé case decorated with rocaille patterns, shell and floral patterns. On one side of the bottom, Ceres is depicted with fruits and flowers and on the other side, Hera and his chariot drawn by peacocks appear. The upper part of the case is decorated with the same floral and rocaille patterns. The case is suspended by a hook or chatelaine taking up the decorative repertoire. Sealing could be hung there. Inside the case only a gold and steel knife is kept there.
