"Old Mobile Sulphating Machine To Treat The Vine, Ets Perras, France, 1920-1930"
Interesting old mobile machine for treating vines, built by the Perras establishments in Belleville sur Saône (Dpt 69. France). This sulphating machine is the work of the Perras Company, whose headquarters were in the Rhône, in Belleville sur Saône, at the beginning of the 20th century. The vats containing Bordeaux mixture (copper sulphate) are made of copper. When the vehicle was moving, the pump would start and propel the sulfate through the twelve side jets. A lever was used to block the system or to operate it only on the right or left. The wheel tires are made of iron, which dates this machine from the turn of the century.
It was possible to have it pulled by a horse.
