Table Psyche, Mahogany And Bronze, Early Nineteenth. flag

Object description :

"Table Psyche, Mahogany And Bronze, Early Nineteenth."
Superb table mirror in psyche, mahogany and mahogany veneer, ebony net on the edge to highlight. Pure lines, very sober decor. Neoclassical style, beveled mercury mirror encircled with mahogany veneer and ebony fillet. The latter supported by two obelisks decorated with bronze apples. Opens with 3 drawers, 2 small and one large. Rests on 4 straight mahogany veneered feet. Very high quality work from the beginning of the 19th century; elegance and sobriety of lines. In good general condition, note however the usual restorations, veneer grafts, Mercury mirror in the state, very damaged. The bronze apples holding the mirror are not period, posterior, but a beautiful overall harmony. note a mark on the plate see photos. Beautiful patina, and rare model.
