Important pair of limestone capitals carved on all sides in the Romanesque-Gothic transition style.

to the instruments of the passion of Christ

Flared circular baskets decorated with a double row of curved acanthus leaf scrolls in hooks

supports in the upper part the octagonal shaped tailpiece

Abaques carved on one side of the instruments of the passion of Christ

Marine anchor, symbol of hope for the one and of a Sacred Heart of Mary for the other.

The astragalus constituting the circular base is a simple moulding.


Period XVIIIth or earlier


Pillar capitals generally used originally to support arcades or chapel vaults

The capitals present a broken hook with only slight lacks.
