"Marine Painting XIXth Normandy Landscape Of CanÈbe"
Superb and large oil painting from the early twentieth century representing fishing boats off Trouville. We see in the foreground a large barque in full maneuver in a rough sea. in the background other boats against the backdrop of cliffs. Superb rendering of the sea and the sky, the colors remained vivid and luminous. Painting signed lower right CANÈBE and dated 1914, inscription on the back "fishing boat in Trouville" The whole is presented in a wooden frame and gilded stucco, slight accidents on the top.
