Brass Snuff Bottle, Iserlohn Style flag

Object description :

"Brass Snuff Bottle, Iserlohn Style"
Brass snuffbox commemorating the Battle of Zorndorf in Poland. In the manner of Iserlohn
“The battle of Zorndorf brought together the Prussians commanded by Frederick II of Prussia and the Russians of Villim Fermor on August 25, 1758, during the Seven Years' War. It is a Pyrrhic victory for Frederick II. The vanquished Russians retreated in good order, while the Prussian army, reduced by half, was seriously weakened. "(Source Wikipedia).

Very beautiful brass snuffbox magnificently illustrated in relief:
On the cover, with the title, a scene of this battle framed by 2 large horsemen "saber en clair" with the mention "Custrin". A partially erased signature appears in the margin.
Probably executed in Custrin in Poland (today Sarbinowo), while this type of beautiful historical snuffboxes are better known as coming from the workshops of Iserlohn in Germany.
On the reverse, between military trophies, a long, perfectly legible text recounts this battle with heavy losses;
2 little holes on the front side)
