Exceptional, very beautiful and very rare powerful blade by Tachi Sue Koto (1580 - 16th century), Zaimei signed SUKESADA, 2nd generation with his Koshirae (without Shirasaya).

  • Registration certificate (compulsory) N ° 15472, issued by the Prefecture of Mié (central Japan, near Kyoto and Ise, high places of religious beliefs), Japan.
  • Dimensions : 72.5cm- Inscribed with name: 備 前 国 長 船 祐 定 ie : Bizen Koku Osafune Sukesada dated : 07/24 / 1962.
  • Full name : Bizen no kuni ju Osafune Yosozaemon no jo SUKESADA, 2nd generation, 与 三 左衛 門 尉 祐 定 二代, for this blade in encyclopedia on Japanese swords, it is indicated 69 years for Tensho 6.   • Beautiful old Tsuba with the theme : Kiku (wild chrysanthemums), a Gunpai, a Kabuto poses on a Furoshiki, on the back chrysanthemums and probably a riding crop on the ground (to make the horses gallop faster). Type : Naga Maru Gata in Hibori Zogan - Material : iron
  • Fuchi / Kashira with the theme : Wave patterns, by the same craftsman (following), are of very good quality. With on the Fuchi, a gold Mon, composed of a complete tail of 2 crossed arrows (identified, Ota family).
  • Habaki type : Yujo in 1 part - Material : copper
  • Menuki with the theme : ½ tail of 2 crossed arrows, in relation to the Mon which is composed of a complete tail of 2 crossed arrows. The use of these symbols with Horimono and Bonji (s), could suggest that this sword was deposited at an undetermined period by its owner in a Shinto shrine or Buddhist temple as an offering. A strong spiritual connotation, even offering, is possible for this very rare blade.
  • Ito Maki type : Hineri Maki, in natural silk Ito - recent Tsukamaki.
  • The Saya is sturdy, with a very large metal Kojiri Kuwagata and a (recent) natural silk Sageo braided in Ronin Musubi.
