"Large Louis XV Coffee Pot , Namur 1771, Englebert Antoine (1735-1821)"
Majestic period coffee pot in Louis Quinze style in sterling silver . It has a fully twisted body and the rocaille patterned spout follows the same movement. The carved pearwood handle is probably the original one and is delicately carved with decorations that already announce the Louis XVI style. The dome of the cover is quite high and is topped with a fretel in "burst seed" surrounded by abundant foliage. These arched feet are attached to the body by a magnificent baroque cartouche and end in a lion's paw.
