Important Louis XVI bookcase in flamed mahogany veneer with rich ornamentation of very finely chiseled gilt bronze.Opening three doors, central and lateral projection, bevelled windows, six spinning legs, ogee pediment.
Interior partitioned into three parts, four shelves adjustable in height in each compartment.
Original locks signed by Maison DENY in Paris: very rare locks for double bit keys. Model invented by the DENY house at the end of the 19th century, still used today for safes and secure doors. The locks in this library are certainly the first examples of this type produced and they work perfectly.
Built in solid oak.
Parisian work from the end of the 19th century. Superb quality!
Perfect condition, fully restored to its original condition by our workshop: cleaning of the bronzes (original gilding), application of a natural varnish with a pad using traditional methods (supports previously cleaned and sanded by hand for the application with the new varnish pad and in order to remove all traces of use or any other imperfection).
