Object description :

"19th Century, Pair Of French Gilt Bronze And Marble Candelabra"
19th Century, Pair of French gilt bronze and marble candelabra
The pair of three-light candelabra was made in the 19th century in France in the Louis XVI style.
Each candelabra consists of a central part in white marble in the shape of a vase decorated with festoons and goat heads in gilded bronze. From the top of the vase emerge three arms in gilded bronze richly chiselled in the shape of branches that end with bobeches shaped like a rose flower.
The central vase rests on a cubic marble base decorated with chiselled bronze elements in bas-relief that in turn rests on a parallelepiped with a square base in white marble with reserve in bronze leaf acanthus and golden bronze feet circular.
The two candlesticks, distinctly ornamental, are easily inserted on consoles, dressers or tables, both of ancient and modern times. They have an excellent performance if they are positioned as a centre of the table on a sourtout with mirror or in front of a mirror through which their three-dimensionality will be fully usable. They will bring great brightness, decoration and liveliness to your environments thanks to the richness of gold and white marble.
