Raymond CORNILLEAU (1887-1975). Watercolor and charcoal 60x42cm. With the frame 81x63cm. Circa 1927.Born in Paris in 1887, he was a student in 1907 at the National School of Decorative Arts and obtained the medal of the City of Paris. Since 1920, he exhibits landscapes, still lifes, portraits and nudes at the Salon d'Automne at the Salon des Indépendants where he appears until 1931.
JacquesEmile Blanche introduced him to André Gide who got him an exhibition at the Maison des Amis des Livres and agreed to write a preface to the catalog.
