Sebastiano Viani, active in Italy around 1620, "Le Christ mqué" 1627. Burin after Annibale Carracci (Bologna 1560-1609), on laid paper. Reference: E. Borea, G. Mariani, Annibale Carracci ei suoi incisori, cat. mostra, Roma 1986, p. 63-64. Names of artists and dates at the tip of the plate, top left. State of preservation: cut on and at the limit of the copper mark, foxing and in particular a larger one on the index finger of Christ's left hand. Very beautiful carved wooden frame from the 17th century. Dimensions at sight of the engraving, 15.5x21.5 cm. Total dimensions, with frame, 41x47.5 cm.
