Oskar Georg Zenker (Leipzig, 1869-Burg Stargard, 1933) After artistic studies in Leipzig, at the School of Applied Arts then in Munich and Dresden at the Academy of Art and finally, in Munich, with Friedrich Fehr, in 1896-97, he undertook a study trip to Rome where he devoted himself to the study of the masters of the Renaissance.He stood out in Italy for the quality of his frescoed interior decoration of Roman palaces and was also known for his landscapes and portraits.
