"Snuff Box, Vienna 1819, Sterling Silver, Theseustempel Im Volksgarten"
Extremely rare neoclassical snuff box engraved with a view of the Temple of Theseus in Vienna. It was probably made to commemorate the construction of this magnificent Viennese building which once housed one of the most beautiful sculptures of Canova, the fight of Theseus, king of Athens, hero who slaughtered the minotaur. It is in solid silver and vermeil and is in very good condition.
