"Large Murano Glass Lamp Signed Barovier And Toso"
Important Venetian free-form glass lamp base from the 50s / 60s, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Barovier & Toso and designed by the famous Italian designer Ercole Barovier, which is part of his "Cordonato d'Oro" range. Very similar pieces can be seen in Leslie Pina's book 'Italian Glass', pages 31 to 32. Made of red and clear coated glass with many inclusions of gold leaf encased in the glass.Height: 29,5 inch
