Pottery d'Accolay is the generic name for the production of a community of potters settled in the village of Accolay, in Yonne on the banks of La Cure. This production center was created by four former students of Alexandre Kostanda: A. Boutaud, Louis DANGON, Raude and Slavic Pavel. Active from 1945 to 1989, their pottery is distinguished by great technical inventiveness and more particularly research on the retraction of certain glazes during firing.
