Hector Guimard, Rare Cast Iron Fireplace Mantle - Art Nouveau.

Hector Guimard (1867 -1942) Cast iron fireplace mantel, made at the Saint-Dizier foundries, circa 1905, marked GH on the back. Black patina, the side uprights mounted at an angle are animated with volutes at the base, the pediment is richly carved in low and high reliefs of foliage and volutes forming cutouts and reliefs.
