"Gold And Enamel Bracelet. Mid-19th Century. "
Articulated bracelet in enameled gold. The bracelet is composed of six medallions, the largest of which serves as a clasp. The gold is repoussé work, accented with black and white enamel. Each medallion is embellished with stylized floral motifs, and the portraits of the medallions feature young women in the traditional dress of different Swiss cantons.
Marked on the back of the largest medallion: Bern Length: 6.9 in (17.5) with clasp Small medallions: 1.4 in (3.3 cm) Large medallion: 2.6 x 1.3 in (6.5 x 3.3 cm)
Gold mark: Owl head (tête de hiboux).
