"René Juste"
Oil on canvas representing a Breton landscape with a village with typical roofs at the end of a moor crossed by a path and this under a sky loaded with heavy and colorful clouds; it is signed lower left René Juste nickname of René Camille Juste (1868-1954). The painter has succeeded in translating the impressive calm that this landscape emanated with sincerity. René Camille Juste, born in Paris in 1868, established his workshop in Marlotte in Seine et Marne. He was a pupil of Cormon and participated in the Salon des Artistes Français. From 1902. Landscape painter, powerful colorist, translating an emotion deep in contact with nature, he painted in Brittany in Finistère (Faou), in Morbihan in Bréhat, but also in Creuse in Crozant where he rubbed shoulders with Armand Guillaumin, Paul Madeline and then offered Impressionist works.
