Circa 1820/1840 France Beautiful pair of lace-up chimney-sweep silk twill boots, dating from the Romantic period. Square yoke toe and original eyelet lacing on the side edged with fine colored piping. Lining in ecru chintzed cotton and flat fawn leather sole. No indication right foot. Note a professional stabilization on 2 cm on one side (not very visible) and very slight wear of the silk bordering the leather sole. Clean and no accidents. Excellent condition of color and conservation for its age.
