" Clock Portico In Marquetry And Golden Brass Era Napoléon III"
Portico clock from the Napoleon III period. Wooden architecture with four columns of eventful form, covered on the whole with a blackened ebony veneer. Sumptuous marquetry work, the front face and the top of the base have been the subject of a rich meticulous marquetry work. decorated with inlaid brass motif and colored mother-of-pearl. The part of the dial, adorned with a large ornate and openwork surround in gilded brass, white enamel dial composed of relief cartridges in gilded brass and white enamel with blue Roman numerals. The space between the columns is occupied by a balance decorated in the same spirit as the surround of the dial and embellished with a porcelain flower. Buffer varnish providing shine, contrast and protection.

Original mechanism without modification, hour and half hour strike on an old bell.

Very decorative clock, interesting and rare model, unusual. Very good manufacture set.
